The Trendspotter: September 2026

BY THE RVAX TEAM

We’re back again with your monthly dose of must-know news, The Trendspotter! This content series features monthly roundups of the newest and hottest businesses (namely, restaurants, bars, and then some!) around RVA.

The fall pregame was stacked with bagels, pizza, and a whole lot more — and we’ll be going into overtime with it all.

Sunday Bagel

What it is: A fan-fave pop-up spot that can now make our bagel dreams come true at its very own brick-and-mortar

Why we love it: Not everyone can be in NYC… and with Richmond’s bagel boom boomin’, would you even want to be? Order a bagel, order some Recluse coffee, and hold it down at Sunday Bagel’s new storefront.

Where to find it: 210 W Marshall St (Jackson Ward)

Pizza Delores

What it is: The source of pizza coverage taking over our social media algs recently

Why we love it: The spot serves Sicilian-inspired square pizzas in a retro, nostalgia-filled space; comes to us from two longtime friends; and makes things easy with counter service. What’s not to love?

Where to find it: 3001 W Clay St (Arts District)

Antonelli’s Deli

What it is: Where to get your sandwich fix in the city

Why we love it: Serving up Italian-inspired sandwiches and salads, Antonelli’s builds all its menu items around housemade bread. Just call us Oprah — “I. Love. BREAD.”

Where to find it: 3401 Patterson Ave (Museum District)

Lindsey’s Sandwiches

What it is: Where to get your sandwich fix outside the city

Why we love it: We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it over and over again — when Lindsey Food Group is in the kitchen, we know we’re gonna be eatin’ good. And considering the height of the meat piled high on these sammies, we’re confident our theory is correct.

Where to find it: 4336 Pouncey Tract Rd (Short Pump)

Noodle House

What it is:
A cozy spot to warm up with Asian comfort noodles

Why we love it: It may still be a little warm outside, but we know as soon as those 50-and-below temps stick around, we’ll be ready to practically bathe in something like the Spicy Beef Noodles Soup here. We’ll let the VCU students get in line first… but they better order quickly.

Where to find it: 814 W Grace St (VCU)
