The Trendspotter: November 2026
We’re back again with your monthly dose of must-know news, The Trendspotter! This content series features monthly roundups of the newest and hottest businesses (namely, restaurants, bars, and then some!) around RVA.
Season’s eatings: This month is stocked with lots of new places to visit in between your Election Day, Thanksgiving Day, and No-Shave observances.

Baltik’s Bagel - Union Hill
What it is: Yet another reason why Kelsey’s wondering if she needs to move back to Church Hill
Why we love it: Baltik’s Bagel is expanding and taking over the former Alamo BBQ building on Jefferson Ave. While one (delicious) door closes, another one opens — so we can’t exactly complain. This location will be a smaller shop for Baltik’s but will offer the same bagels and breakfast sammies as its Forest Hill location, with walk-up ordering and plans for covered outdoor seating.

Fable Flowers/Sleepover Coffee
What it is: Where you can scoop up a gorg bouquet the next time you’re on a coffee run
Why we love it: We love errand-stacking, and the Fable Flowers and Sleepover Coffee combo lets us stack the best of the best. Stop by the florist for some pretty petals from Fable, then order up a latte from Sleepover before you head out on your next assignment.

Hank’s Fried Chicken
What it is: The spot for one hell of a fried chicken sando
Why we love it: After more than five years of rolling around Richmond, 1115 Mobile Kitchen announced its plans to set up shop — permanently — in the Fan. An official opening date is yet to be announced, but signs in the press have pointed to a fall opening, so keep your eyes peeled. And in the meantime, catch the spot’s mobile offerings out and about at various fests and markets.

What it is: A permanent home for Southern Hospitality star TJ Dinch to serve his gourmet hot dogs
Why we love it: Yes, TJ Dinch is a Bravo-lebrity, but he’s also a Richmonder, and now he’s bringing his pop-up hot dog concept to Scotty’s Taphouse, where you can order up *and* stick around for self-serve beer wall, duckpin bowling, live music, and more.

Spirit Christmas
What it is: How you can deck your halls with animatronics, inflatables, and lots-lots more
Why we love it: Spirit Halloween is getting into the holiday spirit and bringing its Christmas-themed concept to Richmond for the first time. Pack away your big skeletons and spooky spiders, and set up, I dunno, like, a six-foot Sliding Frosty and Karen Inflatable Decoration instead.
