The Emerald Lounge


What it is: A tropical-inspired lounge offering cocktails and light plates.

Why we love it: Brought to you by the genius behind The Jasper, The Emerald Lounge is the newest cocktail concept in Church Hill. Their menu mostly comprises craft cocktails and the classics, but they offer a few select light plates to accompany your drinks, too. Definitely try the More Than Words, if you are a fan of tequila and mezcal.

Luxe New American Bar & Grill


What it is: RVA’s newest fine-dining restaurant.

Why we love it: If steamed mussels, Cajun cream chicken, and lobster are your thing, you’ll love Luxe. Step into an inviting atmosphere, eat some exceptionally delicious food, and bring your friends — you don’t want anyone to miss trying this one out.

PlantHouse


What it is: A plant shop featuring build-your-own terrariums and workshops.

Why we love it: PlantHouse is moving it’s groovy storefront to the Scott’s Addition district. Opening later this month, the more spacious digs will give you the chance to shop their unique offerings, use their workshop space, and snag new unique ceramics.

Shake Shack


What it is: A fast food joint serving burgers, hot dogs, and shakes.

Why we love it: Okay, Shake Shack isn’t part of just the Richmond experience, but we figured its new location is worth an honorable mention. It’s coming in hot with all your fast food faves — like bacon cheese fries, grilled cheese, burgers, and chicken. And what’s that? They even have vegan meat and dairy-free milkshakes?!

Slay Burgers


What it is: A smash burger spot with all your favorite fixin’s.

Why we love it: Hot dogs, chicken, burgers, fries — Slay Burgers has you covered when the craving hits. The restaurant offers its own spin on the smash burger with plenty of room to customize your meal. Seating is limited inside, but takeout is always available!

What it is: An upscale cereal bar featuring your childhood faves and other breakfast and dessert items.

Why we love it: Cereal lovers, rejoice! A Taste of Nostalgia Cereal Bar features over 30 different cereals plus waffles, ice cream, yogurt, and milkshakes. Let your imagination run wild as you build your perfect sweet treat.
