Jewfro Restaurant

What it is: From the same folks who brought us Soul Taco, Jewfro is “a coffee shop and deli by day, and a modern take on Jewish-African fusion food (with a ‘70s-inspired vibe) by night.”

Why we love it: The robust flavors on Jewfro’s menu really can’t be found anywhere else in Richmond. This unique concept is something that our city has been in desperate need of!

Where to find it: 1721 E Franklin St (Shockoe Bottom)

Cameo Cakery & Cafe

What it is: A fresh new bakery/restaurant for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and dessert/one-of-a-kind bar, now open in the Westhampton area.

Why we love it: Yes, you can place an order for one of the delicious and beautiful cakes you’ve seen all over their Instagram, but you can also visit for anything from cheese and charcuterie boards to sweet and savory cakes to draft beer and wine by the bottle and so much more. They have a whole selection of flights to choose from, too, from beer and wine flights to "sparkler refresher" flights and coming soon, mimosa and coffee flights.

Where to find it: 306 Libbie Ave (Westhampton)

Indigo Therapeutic Massage & Healing Arts

What it is: A wellness retreat offering therapeutic massages, facial massages, and more healing services in Richmond's West End.

Why we love it: Their mission is "to provide medical-minded massage and bodywork that feels just as relaxing as it is therapeutic" — and it feels like we could all use that right about now!

Where to find it: 1404 Starling Dr, Ste A (Henrico)

Birdie’s

What it is: As they put it, a "cafe by day, oyster bar by night, [and a] wine cellar when it feels right.”

Why we love it: This unique new spot comes from the folks at local social club Common House (whose food and beverage program is one of the major reasons that folks become members!), so you know it’s good. I mean, just look at this oyster menu, wine list, and coffee menu.

Where to find it: 305 W Broad St (Arts District)

Henley On Grace

What it is: A true wine bar experience, with more than 100 wines by the glass to choose from as well as Californian-Asian fusion cuisine with a Richmond twist.

Why we love it: This intimate spot is beautifully appointed with a massive wine list, light and fresh fare crafted with locally sourced ingredients, and a stellar happy hour daily from 4:30 - 6:30 pm — what's not to love?

Where to find it: 314 E Grace St (Downtown)
