Slurp! Ramen

What it is:
A delish ramen spot from the folks who brought us The Jasper.

Why we love it: The spot announced its soft opening like a surprise Beyoncé album drop, and its food is just as bomb as that approach. Sweet, spicy, and numbing wings? Rich, smoky, and savory pork bone broth? Yeah, we’ll take one of everything and some saké to go with it.

Where to find it: 2416 Jefferson Ave C1 (Church Hill)

The Queen’s Library Tea Room

What it is: A new event venue that offers Richmonders a spot to sip on a variety of teas from around the world, including Kenya, India, and China, while celebrating engagement parties, bridal showers, birthdays, and more.

Why we love it: Throughout the space, owners Clarissa and Daniel Luna make a point to highlight the stories of the women from all walks of life — whether that be through the teas they serve or the art they’ve hung.

Where to find it: 21 W Main St (Monroe Ward)

Urban Myth Street Food

What it is:
A permanent food truck parked outside of Buskey Cider’s Scott’s Addition home.

Why we love it: Urban Myth Street Food offers a 100% gluten-free menu of Southern- and Asian-inspired eats and opened its truck door on Buskey Cider’s seventh anniversary — a great way to celebrate, we say.

Where to find it: 2910 W Leigh St (Scott’s Addition)

Whole Heart Space

What it is: A new yoga studio from Rachel Knight, who led classes at Humble Haven Yoga until just recently.

Why we love it: Whole Heart Space caters to prenatal and postnatal women as well as yogis who are trying to get pregnant and new moms who want to fit a session in with their infants. RVAx founder and CEO, Sam Kanipe, is a big fan of Rachel’s and took her Humble Haven class — “Magical!” — every Sunday when she was pregnant with her first. Suffice it to say we’re thrilled for this biz owner and def suggest you check out her new spot!

Where it is: 9726 Gayton Rd (West End)

Stanley’s

What it is:
A new concept restaurant brought to you by one of the co-owners of Cobra Burger and inspired by Philadelphia and southern New Jersey eats.

Why we love it: Here you’ll find hoagies, cheese-steaks, chicken cutlet sandwiches, and other delicacies, plus a full bar in a relaxed, come-as-you-are atmosphere.

Where to find it: 2601 Park Ave (The Fan)
