11 Richmond gift shops to Visit
Sometimes, there are few things quite as helpful as retail therapy, and when you’re shopping for your loved ones during the holiday season, you’re practically healing and deal-stealing. Richmond has so many spots for nifty gifties; these are just *some* of our favorite places to hit when we’re making our lists, checking them twice, and all that, this time of year. Meet you for lunch when we’re done?

The Wild Wander
This be-a-u-tiful shop’s inventory is as equally stunning as it is interesting. If you’re in need of some paper goods and gifts, this is your virtual spot. Look out for knick-knacks “inspired by dusty libraries, cluttered studies full of artifacts, and an abiding curiosity for forgotten history and the natural world.”

Gearharts Fine Chocolates
If it’s straight-up deliciousness you’re going for, Richmond-made sweet treats oughta do the trick. Gearharts sent us samples of some of their most mouth-watering confections, and we can tell you for certain the Virginia Maple Caramels (drool), Torrone Bar (FAVE), and Vegan Fine Chocolate Assortment (we’re not even vegan and we were finger-lickin’) would make great stocking stuffers — at least. But there’s *way* more where that came from. Pamper your someone(s) special with things like the 16-Piece Gift Assortment or Chocolate Granola, and Santa’s gonna start thinking twice about his job security. (Sorry, big guy.)

Outside The Box
Shopping at Outside The Box is an experience that will keep you occupied and entertained for hours. Shopowner Mark is a “recovering accountant” and wanted to curate a space that makes you feel like a kid in a toy store — and he succeeded! Every nook and cranny of this East End shop is more delightful than the last. Look here for kitchenware, body care, decor, and celebration goodies, too.

Shop Two Three
Studio Two Three offers studios, classes and workshops, artist residency, and open doors, and now, it also offers its very own storefront. Visit Shop Two Three when it’s handprinted treasures you’re looking for. The spot has T-shirts, sweatshirts, totes, prints, tea towels, and notebooks, all with clever, cutesy images. Right *now*, we’re pretty obsessed with this Snack Bag number — but our faves change often.

Lineage
Whenever we see a Lineage candle in the wild (see: somewhere like Txtur), we stop and sniff a while. The Grapefruit & Fig Candle (grapefruit, lemon, wild fig, hint of patchouli and vanilla) is on *our* holiday wishlists this year, but the shop has dozens of other hand-poured options. And that’s not all: Lineage also carries bags and accessories, apparel, home goods, apothecary items, and more. Basically, get one of everything and plan a home-base makeover as soon as you take the tree down. (BTW, the co just opened its own coffee shop in Scott’s Addition, too, where you can shop for baubles and beans.)

Fort
Since our last visit, we’ve been thinking about all the kid-friendly goodies at this Westhampton shop for open-ended and imaginative play. FWIW, the set of rainbow gem blocks will be the first thing we ~add to cart~ on our next shopping trip, but Fort has so many other gems to check out —including, especially, the sensory boxes that each offer a different world for the kiddos to freely explore.
