Toast the fall with friends and family at Bier-Garden on the Carriage House Lawn at Maymont! This two-day German-style festival is the perfect way to join in the world’s largest folk festival without traveling to Munich!
Wear your lederhosen or dirndl, or come as you are! Revelers of all ages will find a festive scene with lively music, German folk dancers, yard games, and an authentic Marketplatz featuring local vendors selling artisanal treats and gifts. Bring the kids for an afternoon of crafts, games, entertainment and more in the Kinderzone.
On the entertainment stage, DJ BearBonez will spin festival tunes all afternoon, with performances by juggler Jonathan Austin, the Hirschjager dancers and Fritz’s Polka Band. Don’t miss the dachshund costume contest and parade, hosted by the Dachshund Enlightenment Foundation.
Bier-Garden admission includes entry to The Robins Nature Center from 11:30am-5pm, so you may explore and learn while you're at Maymont!

It is our pleasure to announce that the 55th Annual Richmond Oktoberfest will be heading back to the Old Dominion Building at the Richmond Raceway Complex, 600 East Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23222.
Other exciting news is that we have lowered the entrance fee this year to only $10 per person for 16 years old and older. Under 16 is free.
The Oktoberfest will be held on:
Friday October 17th, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
and
Saturday October 18th, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Delicious food:
Bratwurst, Knackwurst, Weisswurst (with all sausages hand-crafted by Usinger’s of Wisconsin), roast pork, and broiled chicken. Side dishes to include Sauerkraut, Potato Salad, and Red Cabbage.
Our snack bar will have freshly made German potato pancakes, a variety of filled pretzels, hot dogs, French fries and more!

Rollback alert! ALL one-day tickets are just $10 for a great facility and entertainment. Or buy both days for just $15. All guests over 15 years old require a ticket for entrance.
