Beauvine Burger Concept


Voted one of the top burger spots in Richmond, you can choose between a Pineland Farms small-batch beef burger, a hormone- and antibiotic-free turkey burger, or a vegan veggie burger on a toasted brioche bun, gluten-free bun, or lettuce wrap. Don’t skip out on the side of waffle sweet potato fries!

Boulevard Burger and Brew


The location itself screams ‘70s diner! This burger joint serves some awesome burgers with endless options, from beef to turkey to their Homemade Black Bean Veggie. Be sure to pair your order with one of their many Boozy Milkshakes.

Brenner Pass


What could make an already delicious burger even better? Fondue, that’s what! The Brenner Pass Burger is topped with creamy fondue and served with frites.

Burger Bach


Burger Bach prides itself on quality and fresh ingredients. Choose a beef, chicken, lamb, or veggie patty, and be sure to order a side of fries — they have more than a dozen sauces to choose from, in addition to ketchup.

The place is dedicated to helping everybody find burger utopia. You can choose one of their suggested burgers or custom-build a new creation with their local, quality ingredients and healthier alternatives.

Carytown Burgers and Fries


Each burger here is formed from a proprietary blend of chuck and top-round sirloin. They have plenty of choices for our vegetarian and vegan customers as well, including soy-based and black bean burgers, vegan patties, and mock chicken.

Cobra Burger


After years as a pop-up operation, Cobra Burger brought a brick-and-mortar location to Church Hill. Their menu is packed with house favorites like the Cobra Burger along with unique burger creations and a rotating selection of specials. Don’t forget the delicious Cobra Sauce and Cobra Fries (pickled french fries).

The Heroic Burgers at Dot’s Back Inn are an experience to be had, with options ranging from the Chili & Cheese Burger to fusions Mexicali and the Rajun Cajun Burger.

Eazzy Burger


As if we couldn’t love ZZQ and Ardent Craft Ales more, the beloved barbecue and beer spot joined forces to open a burger joint in Scott’s Addition. Eazzy Burger hangs in its sister restaurant’s backyard, taking over Ardent’s former sour ale barrel warehouse. Diners can enjoy a simple and tasty selection of eats, including meaty and meatless burger options, chicken sandwiches, and cheese fries.

Four Brothers Bistro & Grill


All burgers here are hand-pattied with fresh beef and served on a brioche bun with fresh-cut fries. All their signature burgers are made fresh in front of you on a grill-top, resulting in juicy deliciousness every time. Black bean burgers are also an option.

Hogshead Cafe


While traditionally a BBQ restaurant, you don’t want to skip out on their burgers served on a pretzel roll. You can build your own or go all out with the Hog Burger, which is their signature Angus burger topped with pepper jack cheese, bacon, hand-pulled pork, onion rings, coleslaw, and Hog Sauce.

Honey Whyte’s


This spot’s been in the burger-and-beer biz since 2003, and they’re a Richmond favorite in the dive category. Snag one of their many burger selections, and get a taste of what Honey Whyte’s “unrelenting love for the burger” is all about.

Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint


Jack Brown’s dubs itself a “burger joint with a passion for craft beer.” The burgers here are 100% all-natural Wagyu beef. Don’t ask for lettuce and tomato, because their patties are prepared simple and basic with creative twists on an American classic. Get the Elvis — topped with peanut butter, mayo, applewood-smoked bacon, and American cheese — and crinkle-cut fries, and absolutely do not skimp on the JB sauce to dip them in.

Kreggers At Hand


Anyone who puts a fried green tomato, bacon, and pimento cheese on a burger deserves to make it on a best burger list. Here, that burger is called the BLT & C burger — pimento jack cheese, fried green tomato, apple cider bacon, spring mix, and remoulade — and it’s one of their signatures. They also offer Beyond Meat and black bean patties.

Looking for a no-frills burger joint that’s perfect for a lunch break treat? Look no further. Roy’s Big Burger serves hamburgers, fries, and shakes out of their fast-food shack’s walk-up window.

Sear Burger


A new concept from Soul Taco has entered the chat: Sear Burger. Said the Mexican restaurant on the addition to its offerings, “Sear Burger is a new employee driven burger concept that celebrates amazing food and the even more amazing people that make this all possible!” The burger pop-up lives inside the original Soul Taco restaurant itself, and visitors get just as many unique options on their patties as they do their tacos — e.g., this one with goat cheese, hot honey, and arugula.

Secret Sandwich Society


Their certified Angus beef burgers are hand-pattied, served pink or no pink on a toasted potato roll with Society Fries and a homemade pickle. They have six signature burgers to choose from, with the options to sub for a Beyond Meat patty and gluten-free bread.

Slay Burgers


Slay Burgers popped up in Brookland Park, slinging patties “smashed to perfection.” They’re all about the quick-and-fresh bite, so keep them in mind the next time you’re in a time crunch and want something incredibly delish. In addition to burgers, they dole out fried chicken sammies, too.

Smashed RVA


This food truck has been the cause of a weekend text in our team’s group message to make known these burgers’ whereabouts. They’re American cheesy and onion smashy, and the owner recently announced that Smashed RVA secured the keys to its very own brick-and-mortar, which is set to open “very soon.” In the meantime, keep an eye on the truck here (and text us, if needed).

Station 2


This restaurant was built in the former home of the 1899 Engine Company 2. Enjoy a burger in this historic spot, where you can choose a gourmet or griddle-pressed burger from a char-grilled Buffalo Creek (VA) ground beef patty, a grilled organic chicken breast, a turkey patty, a gluten-free or vegan edamame patty, a vegan black bean patty, or a Beyond Meat patty.

The Roosevelt


The Roosevelt’s Seven Hills Double Cheeseburger is made with local beef, bacon jam, and rooster sauce and served with crispy fries.
