When you’re going for a workout that gets you endorphins, community, and (sometimes) discounted eats and drinks, Richmond runs the scene.

804 Run Club — hosting runs from Hardywood Park Craft Brewery on Wednesdays at 5:45 pm for runners, joggers, walkers, and everyone in between

Black Girls RUN! — encourages and motivates black women to practice a healthy lifestyle, serving as a fitness resource for runners and gym rats alike, as well as providing tips and commentary on staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle

Black Men Run — encourages African American males to get out and be active

City Stadium Runners — meets at the parking lot across from City Stadium, around 7 or 8 am on Saturdays (season-dependent), for short and long routes

Deep Run parkrun — meets at Deep Run Park on Saturdays at 8 am for friendly, fun, free 5k walks, jogs, or runs

Effect Run Club — built on community, not pace, hosting runs from 3121 W Broad St on Tuesdays at 6:30 am, Thursdays at 6 pm, and Saturdays at 7:30 am

Final Gravity Run Club — meets on Thursdays at 6 pm and Sundays at 11, with your choice of a 3-mile or 5-mile running route

Jack Brown’s Run Club — meets every Monday at 6 pm, and afterward, if you participate, you get 20% off your tab

One for the Road RVA — meets every Wednesday at 6 pm, usually starting and ending at a local brew pub or restaurant; posts the weekly route on Facebook early in the week

Richbrau Ramblers — offers run routes with the James River in view and then lets you enjoy a discounted beer at Richbrau Brewing

Richmond Road Runners Club — sponsors races, helps other organizations put on races, coaches training teams, supports kids' running programs, supports a variety of group runs, and awards academic scholarships to college-bound runner athletes

Richmond Trail Running Club — provides an inclusive and welcoming space for runners to build community, challenge themselves, and explore local outdoor spaces, offering a Group Run Calendar where members can post group runs, hikes, or outings

River City Run Club — a non-judgmental running club whose mission is to share the power of running as a tool to promote health and wellness, both physically and mentally, hosting runs from 1601 Willow Lawn Dr on Mondays at 5:30 pm

RVA Monthly Trail Run — introduces runners to the fun and adventure of trail running and serves as a guided tour of the amazing urban trails within the James River Park System; post-run tailgate gatherings to boot

RVA Stroller Runners — started as a way to get moms and dads out to find stroller-running buddies; group runs vary but locations tend to be in the Westover Hills area on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, starting at 8:45 am in the Westover Hills Tot Lot C

Sports Backers training teams — available for the marathon, half marathon, 10k, and 8k; led by coaches and catering to walkers and runners

Track Starr Run Club — hosts 5k and 10k runs from Starr Hill Beer Hall & Rooftop on Tuesdays at 6 pm, followed by happy hour from 7 to 9 pm, where runners get $1 off pints

Väsen Run Club — meets on Wednesdays; your go-to if it’s a crisp Väsen Mexican Lager you want to cool off with when you’re done

WeOffTheCouch — aspires to provide a positive running experience centered on camaraderie, fitness, fun, and life
