On boats: GetMyBoat and Boatsetter are two Airbnb-like companies now operating in Richmond for boat rentals. Spend anywhere from $125 an hour to $700 an hour and float on. (Axios Richmond)

On hot dogs and ice cream: Ellie’s — a new family- and dog-friendly spot with a walk-up order window and patio seating — set up shop on Arthur Ashe Blvd and serves a variety of hot dogs and ice cream, milkshakes, and sundaes. (Richmond BizSense)
On Willy Wonka: Now through Friday, June 10, you can find locally-made Wonka-ish candy bars from Cardinal Chocolates at 11 Carytown shops, and if you happen upon one of the five hidden golden tickets within the candy wrappers, you’ll win a prize pack valued up to $150. (Instagram)
On Indian cuisine: Carytown’s Citizen Burger location has closed its doors, but the co-owner of Jannat Indian Cuisine is opening Carytown Indian Cuisine in its place in the next two or three months. (Richmond BizSense)

On the small screen: Local mother-and-daughter bakers Tarsha Joyner and Kristy Gardner appear on Crime Scene Kitchen, a Fox channel cooking competition reality show where contestants make a sweet treat after just two minutes of clues about it, including trashcan contents, ingredient containers, and various (clean and dirty) dishes.
