Things We're Way Loving Right Now: October 2025
BY THE RVAX TEAM
Think of this series like a Richmond-y LIKEtoKNOW.it kinda thing — but ~this is NOT an ad~.

Mignonette Martini at Bar Bouy
Okay, I’m calling it: This might be the best martini in Richmond (IMO, of course). Bar Bouy is Brittanny Anderson’s new spot in the former Brenner Pass space, inspired by her Northern Neck roots. Think Chesapeake Bay vibes, casual seafood plates, fried fish, oyster po’boys, shrimp toast, and big fish sandwiches.
We got a sneak peek during their Black Lodge pop-up, and the big fish sando + shrimp toast were standouts. Then, at their soft opening, I tried the mignonette martini and wow… so dang good. It’s officially my new go-to. Pro tip: The michelada was also a hit — perfectly spicy.

Patch to Porch
Lately, I’m outsourcing everything — Instacart, cleaning, you name it. If it saves me time, I’m in. Enter: Patch to Porch, a fall service that literally brings the pumpkin patch to your doorstep. Owner and Pumpkin-in-Chief Rebecca Rabiger came and styled my porch with heirloom pumpkins, and it looks amazing. She offers packages in different sizes (plus custom options), and honestly, it’s the easiest way to get that cozy fall vibe without lifting a finger.

The Lombardy Wine Stroll
Can this get any more Paige-coded? (And yes, I mean me, not Paige DeSorbo.) Every Tuesday, Jardin, Celladora, and Susie’s team up for The Lombardy Wine Stroll — $8 pours at each spot so you can sip, stroll, and snack your way down Lombardy St. The event starts at 5 pm and runs until close, and I’m for sure adding this to my weekly lineup ASAP.

Lineage Wiley’s Cider Candle
Paige is a real DEAR and checked in on me (with Holly!) shortly after my new bb arrived — and brought goodies, too. Part of her curated roundup from Shop Made in VA was a candle from Lineage, Wiley Cider. In their own words, “The perfect candle for fall. Top notes of apple, clove, and cinnamon share the nose with some orange peel and nutmeg. We added to the bottom note with a hint of spruce for warmth and an outdoor autumn snap.” It’s so good; I’ve been burning it ever since her visit. And then wondering if I’m burning it too quickly, then blowing it out. Then… burning it again.

Studio Two Three Tees
Next, Paige included a couple of Studio Two Three tees. They have the best prints, and now my littlest one will be decked out in fresh Richmond-representing threads, like this Made in RVA onesie and this James River shirt. She’s only a few weeks old yet she’s already so cool?

Morgan Swank Studio Notepad
Finally, my queenie of a biz partner added a notepad featuring another queenie in my life. This All My Eras notepad was such a hot commodity upon delivery to my house, my oldest daughter ended up holding on to it all night and taking it to bed with her for safe keeping. Morgan Swank Studio is a new-to-me artist, but she makes tons of other incdrible things where that came from — *including* The List of a Showgirl notepads to keep up with the times.
