A couple to-dos in partic that caught our eyes
Eats & Sweets by Libbie Lake
July tends to be the hottest month of the year, so keep cool (and break up the week!) with a visit to the Libbie Mill Lake pier. Every Thursday evening, you’ll find some of Richmond’s fave food trucks. On deck for July eats: River City Wood Fire Pizza, 191 Smokery, Cocina Calle, and Noah’s Rockin’ Buns. And for July sweets: Cason Funnel Cakes, Ruby Scoops, King of Pops, and Cameo Cakery & Cafe. Check the schedule before you go, then grab some grub and watch the fountains while you munch. It’s practically the Bellagio Water Show for little Richmonders! (BTW: Libbie Mill Library is open until 9 pm on Thursdays, too.)
Location: Libbie Lake E St (Libbie Mill)
Cost: Free to attend
Dates & times: Vary; click the link below to learn more
Tiny Porch Concerts
Taking a page out of NPR’s book for Tiny Desk Concerts, the Woodland Heights has brought about Tiny Porch Concerts in recent years, and the set-up for musical mingling is on again this summer. Food trucks will be on-site, and the shows’ll be held once a month through October, so save the dates on your cal for the others now, too.
Location(s): 3200 Porter St, 3106 Porter St, and 3300 McDonough St (Woodland Heights)
Cost: Free to attend (but be sure to tip the artists!)
Date & time: Sunday, July 20; 5 - 7 pm
Live music, parties, and then some

The options around town are truly hole-y.
Whether you’re a swimmer, a sunbather, or somewhere in between, Richmond’s got a local pool for you.
When you need to get the fam outside, but you want to take things up a notch from just a playground viz.
We’ve got everything you need to know about biking around RVA, like where to buy a bike or get repairs, a roundup of city bike lanes, the best mountain-biking trails, bike meetups, and more.
Richmond’s trails, though not as extensive as our national parks and forests, offer easy access to that feeling of escaping the city.
You’re sure to find a sweet spot to stop in no matter where you find yourself around RVA — plus, we’re pointing you in the direction of the park nearest to your coffee shop of choice. Sit and sip a while!
Tidying up can be overwhelming and, quite frankly, a huge hassle if you’re busy. Here are some orgs that can help with all your spring cleaning purposes (and beyond).
We’re ready to spring forward with these to-dos, happening March through June.
They’re must-visits, even if they are a bit of a hike from the city center (pun intended).
While city-living doesn’t always grant us the opp to slow down and live in the present, there are a few great spots in RVA where you *can* do just that while you enjoy a cuppa, too.
Here’s the only circle of trust you’ll ever *really* need.
