Is there anything better than fresh seasonal produce? Seeing a rainbow of ripe fruits and vegetables in our kitchens brings us so much joy — and that joy increases exponentially if we picked that produce ourselves.

If you relate, this guide is for you. We’ve got nearly a dozen farms and orchards where you can pick your own produce within an hour of downtown Richmond! Next time you’re looking for a unique daytime date outing, an outside-the-house activity to keep the kiddos busy, or just to refill the fresh drawers in your fridge, hit up one of these places.

Note: Please be sure to double-check each spot’s website and/or social media channels to confirm hours and produce availability, as each are subject to change!
