Free Admission Day at Virginia Museum of History & Culture
As a token of gratitude and appreciation to our service members, Virginia Museum of History & Culture is offering free admission to active-duty military and veterans on Monday, May 27. If you qualify, simply check in at the guest services desk when you arrive and have a valid ID ready.
And if you’re not active duty or a veteran, head to VMHC anyway! The gorg museum’s mission is to connect people to America's past through the unparalleled story of Virginia by collecting, preserving, and interpreting the Commonwealth's history, and, therefore linking past with present and inspiring future generations. Visiting VMHC is a great, budget-friendly way to honor the holiday — general admission is $12 for adults, $8 for kids ages 6 through 17, and free for kids ages 5 and under.
Location: 428 N Arthur Ashe Blvd (Museum District)
Cost: Free to attend (for active-duty service members and veterans)
Date and time: Monday, May 27; 10 am - 5 pm
Daydream Fest
Is there a more American way to celebrate than enjoying a crispy beer with your pals? Maybe reminiscing about this — but as far as we know, no one’s hosting a party near us for that. So, cold ones it is!
On Monday aft, Main Line Brewery is pouring beers and hosting a line-up of live music and delish eats to go with them. Round out the holiday weekend by ditching the grill and ~daydreaming~ in the Diamond District.
Location: 1603 Ownby Ln (Diamond District)
Cost: Starting at $30
Date and time: Monday, May 27; 1 pm
Live music, parties, and then some
Keep the eats and drinks going:
