May is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) Awareness Month. These are connective tissue conditions that affect how the body is supported and stabilized across multiple systems and are often underrecognized or diagnosed late.
This walk is part of the EDS Walk and Roll Challenge and is a way to bring awareness to conditions that are not always visible, while coming together as a community.
Join us at Rockwood Park on May 31 at 1:00 PM. We will be walking the White Rectangle Loop Trail, a 1.3 mile paved loop through the forest. It is an accessible route and all paces are welcome.
I encourage you to donate $13 in support of EDS and HSD awareness as we walk 1.3 miles together.
I will also be participating in the Walk and Roll Challenge throughout May and donating $1 for every mile I walk or ride. Fundraising page: https://walkandroll2026.funraise.org/.../alexandras-eds...
If you would like to support this effort or follow along, you are welcome to visit my fundraising page or join the Virginia is for Zebras team.

Thank you for being part of this.
Small, intentional steps can create meaningful change.
