You Can Give Survivors Hope

Safe Harbor is the only organization in Central Virginia that works with those who have experienced human trafficking. In our shelters, survivors find a safe haven where they receive long-deferred medical care, counseling, education, and assistance. Your support of Safe Harbor empowers these survivors to overcome their past trauma and begin to rebuild their lives.

The funds you raised have supported these client successes:

Two survivors got their first driver’s licenses, allowing them the freedom to drive to work, school, and anywhere they need to go.

One survivor earned her commercial driver’s license (CDL), which meant she was able to gain full-time employment and move into her own apartment with her son.

One survivor passed all 4 of her GED tests, paving the way to better job opportunities.

Two survivors reached 1 year of sobriety, thanks to the therapy, groups and support of the staff.

One survivor is currently in cosmetology school — a dream come true — and is earning all As!
