Spread out across Maymont’s spacious lawns, hear acoustic performances by four different ensembles from the Symphony’s talented musicians, featuring different groups of strings, wind and brass instruments.

Each ensemble will perform twice, spaced at regular intervals and locations encompassing the Carriage House Lawn, the Italian Garden, the Mansion Lawn and Maple Road. Map to come!

Between sets, guests are invited to stroll to a different location in the great outdoors, and stop by the Instrument Petting Zoo where people of all ages can put their hands on instruments they may be unfamiliar with!

Additional Information

The primary entrance is at the Hampton Street gates at 1700 Hampton Street, Richmond, Virginia. Event parking is available at any of our 3 entrances: Hampton Street (1700 Hampton St), The Robins Nature Center (2201 Shields Lake Dr) or Maymont Farm (1001 Spottswood Road).

Things to bring: chairs, blankets, bug spray, sunscreen, small umbrellas, refillable water bottles and walking shoes.

Things to leave at home: tents, coolers, balloons, pets, scooters and bikes (if used for transit to Maymont, bike racks available, but not allowed inside gates).
