Discover the stories behind Maymont’s historic buildings, gardens and landscape during a guided walking tour of the grounds, on Saturday, October 10 at 11am.

Led by a Maymont historic interpreter, this 90-minute tour explores the original estate buildings, Italian Garden, Japanese Garden and surrounding landscape. Learn what Maymont looked like before it became a public park, why the property has two waterfalls and how its historic features worked together as part of James and Sallie Dooley’s home.

- 90-minute guided outdoor walking tour
- Meet your guide at the Stone Barn Welcome Center (see map here: https://maymont.org/.../2026/03/zoom-in-Stone-Barn.pdf). Closest entrance is at the Hampton Gate at 1700 Hampton Street.
- The tour includes historic buildings, gardens and landscape features throughout the grounds.

- Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.
