Take a break from the workday and enjoy live music and frozen treats in Downtown Richmond with Venture Richmond’s new lunchtime pop-up series, Frozen Treats, Live Beats.
This free pop-up series brings eight live music performances to different locations throughout Downtown Richmond and Manchester, making it easy to step away from the desk, meet up with coworkers, and enjoy a little live music during the lunch hour.
The series takes place on select Thursdays from 12:00–1:00 PM.
The first 100 attendees at each event will receive a free frozen treat. Most locations will feature Richmond favorite Gelati Celesti, serving a complimentary scoop of their handcrafted ice cream. The May 7 pop-up will feature a free sweet treat from Daisy's.
After the first 100 treats are claimed, additional frozen treats will be available for purchase.
July 9: Fabian Lance is no newcomer to the music industry, and his repertoire proves that beyond a doubt. Born in Washington, DC but raised in Axton, VA, Fabian Lance began teaching himself to play the piano at around age 11 and later achieved a BA degree in Composition and Commercial music at Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA, where he was a musical protégé of Will Downing, Tyrone Corbett, Weldon Hill and James “Saxsmo” Gates to name a few. As a pianist he has worked as an MD for many talented artists and musicians, he was a studio musician for the now syndicated television shows Living Single and Little Bill at various times. He’s toured Europe several times with Broadway Productions, including Sister ACT I & II, The Wiz, Eubie and served as pianist for Ronnie Jordan, Plunky and Oneness, and the James Cleveland Music Workshop.
