Book Launch: Wild Design For Learning w/ Gwyneth Hagan

  • Quarry 2707 West Cary Street Richmond, VA, 23220 United States (map)

What if our work and learning were designed more like a forest than a factory—adaptive, interconnected, emergent, and cyclical?

Join us for a special gathering as we celebrate the launch of a powerful new book by Gwyneth Hagan. In Wild Design for Learning, Gwyneth invites readers to shift away from factory thinking and seek the forest as their inspiration and model.

Hosted by The Quarry, this event is an opportunity to come together with educators, leaders, coaches, activists, and curious humans from around the Richmond area who are increasingly looking to nature for guidance and inspiration to cultivate thriving in our community.

This event is not passive. You will engage in both conversation and celebration as we consider how Wild Design can help us to create more relational, adaptive, and renewing learning experiences for ourselves and others.

Gwyneth will share poetry and excerpts from the book and the stories behind Wild Design for Learning. As a community, we will explore what nature has to teach us through dialogue and interaction with the Wild Design Deck and consider together what these ideas might mean for the future of our work and learning.

At a time when machines can increasingly do what humans can do, and our work and learning continues to be designed for us to operate in mechanistic, rigid, and unsustainable ways, perhaps now is the time for us to get a bit wild.

Whether you've followed Gwyneth’s work for years, discovered and connected with Gwyneth recently, or are simply curious about how Wild Design approaches can help us bring our work and learning to life, we'd love you to join us.
