WELCOME TO BLUE SKY'S HIKE FOR KIDS

Hike for Kids is Blue Sky’s signature fundraising event and brings our community together to raise funds and awareness of our outdoor education programs!

Participants will hit the trails of one of Richmond’s most popular attractions, the James River Park System, and enjoy some of the best urban trails in the country with either a 3, 7, or 14 mile loop. All are welcome to celebrate the journey at our post-hike party with food, drinks, games, and music. 

Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026

Hiker Start Times: 9:00 am to 12:30 pm

• 9:00 am: 14-mile hiker waves begin

• 11:00 am: 7-mile hiker waves begin

• 12:30 pm: 3-mile hiker waves begin

Post-Hike Celebration: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Registration Fees: $45 per adult  |  $20 per child *kids 3 & under free
