Take a break from the workday and enjoy live music and frozen treats in Downtown Richmond with Venture Richmond’s new lunchtime pop-up series, Frozen Treats, Live Beats.

This free pop-up series brings eight live music performances to different locations throughout Downtown Richmond and Manchester, making it easy to step away from the desk, meet up with coworkers, and enjoy a little live music during the lunch hour.

The series takes place on select Thursdays from 12:00–1:00 PM.

The first 100 attendees at each event will receive a free frozen treat. Most locations will feature Richmond favorite Gelati Celesti, serving a complimentary scoop of their handcrafted ice cream. The May 7 pop-up will feature a free sweet treat from Daisy's.

After the first 100 treats are claimed, additional frozen treats will be available for purchase.

June 25: Founded in Richmond, VA in 2020 by John Hulley, Pay Rent Brass Band began as a way to make rent and quickly became a force of its own. Forged in the streets and dark bars of Richmond, Pay Rent is a tight six-piece brass band that never takes itself too seriously. One moment the audience is dancing to Destiny’s Child, the next they’re belting out The Circle of Life. Known for their love of video game music, Pay Rent brings the same intensity and care to their gaming sets as their pop, brass, and Latin staples. Their Sonic the Hedgehog set showcases a deep respect for the medium, while their Mega Man 3 show proves that brass playing can be just as technically demanding as the games that inspired it.
