When I sit down to write, I’m often afraid that what I write will be “bad”: boring, weird, not enough description, too much description. I’ve found a lot of creative freedom in embracing those fears. What if I sit down on purpose to write something boring? In a supportive and fun environment, we will do some simple writing exercises to face common fears and get curious about what happens when we do. Suitable for writers of all levels. I have found these exercises can be especially powerful for working through blocks, recovering from criticism, or simply getting started when the blank page feels scary.
